The Turfpoortstraat and the Gansoordstraat are together the longest straight street in the old center of Naarden. Inside the City, the layout plan which was created in about the year 1350 for this particular project. They started to make a layout with straight streets running from South West to North East. The first thatched-roof houses they built with the longest side facing the street. Voor many years the thatched-roof farms In the Gooi villages were built in the direction of South West to North East. On the old cadstral maps, specialy for the village of Blaricum is that clearly to see. The first stone wall for the fortified town of Naarden ren also parallel to the oldest streets..
